Kuniko Ozaki, born 20 February 1956 in Hiroshima, Japan, is a Japanese lawyer who graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1978 and earned an M.Phil. in international relations from Oxford in 1982. She worked in various diplomatic roles for Japan's Foreign Ministry, served as Director for Treaty Affairs at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime from 2006 to 2009, and taught international law at Tohoku University and other institutions. She was a judge of the International Criminal Court's Trial Division from 18 November 2009 to 10 March 2018, served as Second Vice-President from 11 March 2015 to 10 March 2018, and presided over Trial Chamber V, which handled cases against Kenyan nationals, issuing a 2013 dissenting opinion criticizing the Court's decision to excuse President Uhuru Kenyatta from attending trial proceedings; she has held a specially appointed professorship in international human rights law at Chuo University since 2021.
