Ohio District Courts of Appeals

The Ohio District Courts of Appeals are the intermediate appellate courts of the U.S. state of Ohio, with constitutional authority to review final appealable orders. The system is organized into twelve appellate districts, each covering at least one county, with a total of 69 judges statewide ranging from four to twelve per district and elected to six-year terms; each case is reviewed by a three-judge panel, and although the Ohio Supreme Court has discretionary review authority, the appeals process generally ends with the court of appeals' decision for most litigants.
