The Arizona Court of Appeals is the intermediate appellate court for the state of Arizona, hearing appeals from lower courts before cases may potentially reach the Arizona Supreme Court. It was created in 1964 following a 1960 constitutional amendment authorizing its establishment, and it is organized into two geographic divisions with a combined 28 judges, 19 sitting in Division 1 in Phoenix and 9 in Division 2 in Tucson.
