Voting, Campaign and Transparency Acts

Acts on the machinery of democratic participation: the American Voting Rights Act, Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act and Help America Vote Act, and India's Right to Information Act that gave citizens access to government records. A statute belongs here when its cited article describes an act on elections, campaign finance or access to public information. It excludes British franchise acts. The Indian information act is admitted because the articles treat access to public records as a political right of the citizen, beside the right to vote.
