International Court of Justice Judges: Asia and the Pacific gathers the judges of the International Court of Justice who sit as members representing the Asian regional group in the United Nations' own practice for electing the court, one of the five regional groups this parent group is split into because the International Court of Justice has sat continuously since 1946 with a bench that has always reflected every major region of the world. Its members include jurists from China, India, Japan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Pakistan, Jordan and Lebanon, spanning the full life of the court from its earliest decades to its current bench.
