Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula

Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula gathers the modern Chief Justices and senior judicial officials of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Yemen, the highest judicial and cassation authorities of the Arabian Peninsula states. Each court in this group developed under its own blend of Islamic legal tradition, sharia-based judicial administration and twentieth and twenty-first century judicial reform, from Saudi Arabia's Supreme Judicial Council and its own Supreme Court, created under King Abdullah's 2007 reforms, to Kuwait's Court of Cassation, Bahrain's judiciary and Yemen's Supreme Judicial Council.
