Caribbean Court of Justice Judges gathers the judges of the Caribbean Court of Justice, the regional court established in 2001 and seated in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, which exercises both an original jurisdiction interpreting the treaty establishing the Caribbean Community and a final appellate jurisdiction that has replaced the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London for the member states that have acceded to it. Judges are appointed by a Regional Judicial and Legal Services Commission designed to insulate the process from national political control, and the court's dual role, part international treaty tribunal and part final court of appeal, makes it a distinct model among the regional courts grouped in this subcategory.
