Also Known As National Supreme Court
National Supreme Courts (Last Resort)

The Supreme Court of Sudan, formally the National Supreme Court, is the highest court of Sudan's judicial authority, apart from the Constitutional Court, which the 2019 Constitutional Document made an independent court separate from that authority. The Chief Justice of the Republic is head of the judicial authority and president of the National Supreme Court, answerable for administering the judiciary before the Supreme Judicial Council, which selects the Chief Justice and his deputies. The Document states that the judicial authority is independent of the Sovereignty Council, the Transitional Legislative Council and the executive, with its own financial and administrative independence.
