The Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia is, under Article 127 of Slovenia Constitution, the country highest court, seated in Ljubljana. It has operated since Slovenia independence on 25 June 1991 and was formally established on 23 December 1991. The court ordinarily decides in panels of three judges, though panels of five or seven judges may hear cases of particular importance, and it rules on regular legal remedies against second instance decisions and on extraordinary legal remedies against final judgments.
