The Supreme Court of Senegal is the highest court for ordinary and administrative disputes. It judges abuse of power by administrative authorities at first and last instance, hears cassation appeals against the final judgments of all other courts and against several administrative and arbitral bodies, and holds an advisory role. It is organised in four chambers under a First President, with a prosecutor general's office attached, and it sits as united chambers, as single chambers or as an advisory general assembly. Constitutional review belongs to a separate body, the Constitutional Council.
