The Supreme Court of Samoa is established by Article 65 of the Constitution as a superior court of record, made up of a Chief Justice and as many other judges as an Act determines. It is the court to which a person applies to enforce the fundamental rights the Constitution confers, and it decides any question about whether a person is, or remains, a Member of Parliament. The Chief Justice of Samoa is Satiu Simativa I Perese, announced by the Samoan Government on his appointment to the office.
