The Supreme Court of Madagascar is the highest judicial authority on the territory of the Republic, sitting in Antananarivo at the Anosy palace of justice. The 2010 Constitution names it first among the bodies by which justice is rendered, ahead of the Courts of Appeal, and organic law governs its organisation and the three courts composing it. Three new heads of jurisdiction were sworn in publicly before the court at Anosy: Claudette Sophia Ramanankavana as First President of the Supreme Court, Tahina Rabetokotany at the head of the Court of Cassation and Andrianaina Rabarisoa as president of the Council of State.
