The Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia, also known as the Senate of Latvia, is the highest level court in Latvia three tiered court system, seated at the Palace of Justice in central Riga. It hears criminal, civil and administrative matters, acting as an appellate court through its Civil Cases Chamber and as a court of cassation through its other departments, and its judges are approved by the Saeima, Latvia parliament.
