Supreme Court of Cameroon

National Supreme Courts (Last Resort)

The Supreme Court of Cameroon is the highest court of the State in legal and administrative matters and in the appraisal of accounts, one of the three levels, with the Courts of Appeal and the Tribunals, through which the 2008 Constitution says judicial power is exercised. Its organisation, composition and duties, and the benches it comprises, are laid down by law. Alexis Dipanda Mouelle headed it as First President from 1990 for almost a quarter of a century, and as such announced the results of the 1992 presidential election.
