The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the country's court for constitutional review, and it rests on the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, set out as Annex 4 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace, which entered into force on 14 December 1995. The country has a long tradition of constitutional adjudication: the first Constitutional Court in the former Yugoslavia was created in 1963, and a Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established for the first time on 15 February 1964 under the Constitution of 1963, with its existence confirmed in the Constitution of 1974. The present court has nine members. Six of them are selected by the assemblies of the two Entities, four by the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and two by the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska.
