Court of Cassation of the Central African Republic

National Supreme Courts (Last Resort)

The Court of Cassation of the Central African Republic is, under article 111 of the 2016 Constitution, the highest jurisdiction of the State of the judicial order, beside the Council of State for the administrative order. Article 113 says that its decisions are not open to any recourse, and article 114 says that it gives its opinion on any juridical question that the President of the Republic, the President of the National Assembly or the President of the Senate submits to it. Its judges are governed by their own statute and by the texts on the Superior Council of the Magistrature. The member page of the association of francophone supreme courts lists Organic Law No 95.0011 of 23 December 1995 on the Court of Cassation and names Nestor Sylvain Emmanuel Sanze as President from 30 October 2022.
