The Court of Cassation of Cote d Ivoire is headed by a President drawn from the magistrates outside the ordinary hierarchy, currently Joachim Yua Koffi, who took office in October 2023 after a career as judge, public prosecutor and Advocate General at the Supreme Court. Under him the institution has rehabilitated its headquarters, increased its number of trial chambers, strengthened magistrate skills and announced the construction of a seat for the high courts, and in January 2025 the magistrates, clerks and staff presented their new year wishes to him in Abidjan-Cocody.
