Final Appeal Courts

Final Appeal Courts are the top tier of a court hierarchy: the courts of last resort whose decisions can be appealed no further within their own legal system and are binding on the courts below them. They are usually called supreme courts, and in some systems courts of cassation, high courts or apex courts. This tier gathers national and state supreme courts, courts of cassation and constitutional courts that a source describes as the highest or final court, whichever subcategory of the atlas they are shelved in, so that a reader can compare the courts at the head of different systems.
