The Lex Romana Burgundionum is the law code compiled by King Gundobad of the Burgundians for cases involving Romans, drawing on various Roman legal sources and probably intended to apply to the Burgundians' Gallo-Roman subjects; it is a separate code from the Lex Burgundionum, which Gundobad had compiled to govern interactions between Burgundians and between Burgundians and Gallo-Romans. Also known, through a misreading of the manuscript, as the Liber Papiani or simply Papianus, the oldest surviving copy of the Lex Romana Burgundionum dates to the 7th century.
