The Constitution of Ethiopia, formally the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and also known as the 1995 Constitution, is the supreme law of Ethiopia. It came into force on 21 August 1995 after being drafted by the Constituent Assembly elected in June 1994, having been adopted by the Transitional Government of Ethiopia on 8 December 1994 and implemented following the general election held in May and June 1995.
