The Uniform Civil Code of Uttarakhand Act, 2024 is legislation of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, enacted on 7 February 2024, establishing unified personal laws on marriage, divorce, succession and live in relationships for residents regardless of religion, gender, caste or sex, with an exemption for members of Scheduled Tribes. Passed unanimously by the state legislature, seventy votes in favor and none against, Uttarakhand became the first Indian state to enact a comprehensive uniform civil code of this kind.
