Full court

A full court is a court of law sitting with a greater number of judges than usual. In Europe the equivalent practice is often called sitting as a Grand Chamber. For a court that is normally presided over by a single judge, a full court means three or more judges; for a court that, like many appellate courts, ordinarily sits as a bench of three judges, a full court means a bench of five judges.
