Criminal Court of Thailand

The Criminal Court is a Thai court of justice of first instance responsible for applying criminal law within Bangkok. Informally known as the Ratchada Criminal Court for its location on Ratchadaphisek Road in the capital city Chatuchak district, it handles criminal offenses carrying penalties of more than three years imprisonment, fines exceeding 60,000 baht, or both, across sixteen specific Bangkok districts. The court can also hear cases involving offenders who reside in or were arrested within its jurisdiction even when the underlying offense occurred elsewhere.
