Circuit court

Circuit courts are court systems found in several common law jurisdictions, and the term covers three related ideas: a court whose judges travel around a region or country to hear cases in different towns or cities, a court that constitutes an administrative division within a country's judiciary, and a higher-level trial court, for example for felony or indictment offenses. Across the common law world the shared thread is a judicial institution organized around a defined geographic circuit, whether the court travels to that circuit or simply administers it.
