Federal Bailiff Service

The Federal Bailiff Service, known by the Russian initials FSSP, is a federal law enforcement agency of the Ministry of Justice of Russia. It is the enforcement arm of the judiciary of Russia, serving as the primary agency for the protection of officers of the court, the effective operation of the judiciary, fugitive operations, and the provision of security and order within Russian court facilities, with its head office at 16 Kuznetsky Most in Moscow Central Administrative Okrug. The agency was created as the Department of Bailiffs under President Boris Yeltsin in November 1997 and was elevated to a full federal agency by Vladimir Putin in 2004.
