The Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia, known in Spanish as the Corte Suprema de Justicia de Colombia and seated in Bogota, is the country's highest judicial body in civil and penal matters and in questions of criminal and civil procedure. The Court consists of twenty-three judges, elected by the Court itself from a list prepared by the National Disciplinary Commission, which under Legislative Act 2 of 2015 replaced the former Superior Council of the Judiciary in this role, each serving an individual eight-year term. The Court meets at the Palace of Justice on Bolivar Square in Bogota.
