Wyoming Supreme Court

The Wyoming Supreme Court is the highest court in the U.S. state of Wyoming, sitting with one chief justice and four associate justices. Justices are appointed by the governor from nominees put forward by the state's judicial nominating commission, serve eight-year terms, and face a retention vote one year after appointment. The court has statewide jurisdiction and sits in Cheyenne, the state capital; justices must have at least nine years of legal practice, be at least 30 years old, hold U.S. citizenship, have three years of Wyoming residency, and must retire at age 70.
