Constitutions of SAARC Member States

The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is an intergovernmental organization whose Wikipedia article states it comprises eight sovereign states with full membership: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, established in Dhaka in 1985. Each member state listed under this group is grouped here because its own currently governing constitution belongs to one of these eight states that article names as SAARC members, a defined and closed intergovernmental membership distinct from any broader South Asian or Asian regional grouping. This class distinguishes these eight states' current foundational legal instruments from constitutions of other Asian and Oceanian states that are not SAARC members, and from constitutions grouped elsewhere in this atlas under other regional or organizational schemes. Each member placed under this group carries its own separate citation for the specific fact that its country belongs to SAARC.
