Equatorial Guinea's constitution, known in Spanish as the Ley Fundamental de Guinea Ecuatorial or Fundamental Law of Equatorial Guinea, was approved in 1991 and amended in 1995, with a further referendum on constitutional amendments held in 2011. It establishes a presidential system headed by a president, with a vice president, a prime minister, and a bicameral parliament made up of a Senate and a Chamber of Deputies.
