Warren Bruce Rudman lived from May 18, 1930 to November 19, 2012 and was an American attorney and politician who served as a United States senator from New Hampshire from 1980 to 1993 as a member of the Republican Party. Known as a moderate centrist, he was approached by President Clinton in 1994 about replacing departing Treasury Secretary Lloyd Bentsen in the Clinton cabinet, an offer he declined. He chose not to run for re-election in 1992, and at the time of his death was co-chair of Albright Stonebridge Group and a retired partner in the international law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison.
