Dame Janice Mesadis Pereira is a jurist from the British Virgin Islands who served as Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court from 28 September 2012 to 5 May 2024, becoming the first woman and the first person from the British Virgin Islands to hold the position, succeeding Hugh Rawlins and succeeded by Mario Michel. Born in Virgin Gorda, she earned an honours law degree from the University of the West Indies in 1979 and trained at the Norman Manley Law School in 1981. She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2013 and was later appointed to the Privy Council in 2024.
