Lawrence Arthur Dumoulin Cannon (1877-1939) was a Canadian lawyer, politician and Puisne Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, born in Arthabaska, Quebec, who earned degrees from Universite Laval and was called to the bar in 1899. He served as a Quebec City councilman from 1908 and was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec for Quebec-Centre as a Liberal in 1916, losing his seat in 1923, after which he returned to private practice until his 1927 appointment to the Appeal Division of the Court of King's Bench of Quebec. Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King appointed him to the Supreme Court of Canada on January 14, 1930, succeeding Pierre-Basile Mignault, and he served until his death on December 25, 1939.
