George Mcheche Masaju is a Tanzanian jurist who was appointed Chief Justice of the Judiciary of Tanzania by President Samia Suluhu Hassan on 13 June 2025, taking office two days later and succeeding the retiring Ibrahim Hamis Juma. He previously served as Attorney General of Tanzania from January 2015 to February 2018, having earlier worked as a legal adviser to the President from 2009 as deputy Attorney General.
