The Constitutional Court of Gabon is a specialized nine-member court with jurisdiction over constitutional issues, a type of institution typical of civil law jurisdictions. It was created by Gabons National Assembly in July 1991. Marie-Madeleine Mborantsuo presided over the court for 32 years from its establishment until 2023, maintaining close ties to former Gabonese leaders Omar Bongo and Ali Bongo during her tenure; Dieudonne AbaA Oyono is its current president.
