Central Africa

Central Africa gathers the modern Chief Justices and senior constitutional judges of Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon and Angola. The group spans the region's francophone and Portuguese-speaking judicial traditions, from Cameroon's Supreme Court through the Democratic Republic of the Congo's own Supreme Court of Justice and its predecessor Zairean bench to Gabon's Constitutional Court, which for three decades sat under a single president, and Angola's own Constitutional Court, established after the country's long civil war.
