The Wareru Dhammathat is one of the oldest surviving dhammathats, or law texts, of Myanmar. It was compiled in the 1290s in the Mon language at the behest of King Wareru of Martaban. Modeled after the Hindu legal treatise Manusmriti, it sets out mostly customary Burmese law from the Pagan era, though it carries less than five percent of the actual content of the Manusmriti.
