William Twining (born 1934) is a British legal scholar and a leading figure in the Law in Context movement, whose work spans jurisprudence, evidence and proof, legal method, legal education and the intellectual history of law, later extending to globalization and legal theory. His books include Karl Llewellyn and the Realist Movement (1973), Blackstone's Tower: The English Law School (1994) and General Jurisprudence: Understanding Law from a Global Perspective (2009).
