Ibn Farhun al-Maliki, full name Ibrahim ibn Ali ibn Farhun, Burhan al-Din al-Yamari al-Andalusi al-Maliki, was an Arab Maliki faqih, or jurist, of Medina, born into a prominent family that traced its descent to Quraysh. He traveled to Egypt, the Levant and Jerusalem before returning to Medina in 1390, where he served as a qadi, or judge. His principal biographer Ahmad Baba attributes eight books to him, though only two manuscripts of his work have been published and three are lost.
