Jalal al-Din al-Qazwini (1267-1338) was a renowned Shafi'i jurist, judge, linguist and preacher, best known for refining and popularizing the study of Arabic rhetoric. His works Talkhis al-Miftah and Al-Idah fi Ulum al-Balagha became foundational texts in Islamic rhetorical education and established him as one of the most influential scholars in the history of Arabic eloquence.
