Zakariyya al-Ansari, in full Abu Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Zakariyya, was an Egyptian Sunni polymath of the fifteenth century considered the leading specialist of his age in fiqh, usul al-fiqh, hadith, and Quranic exegesis. He served as Chief Judge of Egypt within the Shafii school of jurisprudence, working chiefly in Cairo.
