Elizabeth Mary Moys, known as Betty Moys, lived from June 26, 1928 to February 1, 2002 and was an English law librarian and indexer. Born in Wickford, Essex, and raised in Kent, she graduated from Queen Mary College in London in 1949 and attended the Northwestern Polytechnic School of Librarianship, then worked as a reference librarian at the Royal Institute of International Affairs and as an assistant librarian at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. She was involved with numerous professional organizations over her career, including the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians and the International Association of Law Libraries, was awarded the Wheatley Medal by the Society of Indexers in 1991, and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2000.
