Abu Hafs Umar al-Nasafi, in full Najm al-Din Abu Hafs Umar ibn Muhammad al-Nasafi, was a Muslim jurist, theologian, Quranic commentator, hadith scholar and historian who lived from 1067 to 1142. A Persian scholar born in what is now Uzbekistan, he wrote mostly in Arabic.
