Sir Robert de Malberthorp, who died around 1331 or 1332, was an English lawyer who served as Chief Justice of the King's Bench in 1329. He was the son and heir of Sir William of Malberthorpe, lord of the manor of Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire, and rose through the courts from serjeant at the Common Bench by 1299 to justice of the King's Bench in 1320 before his appointment as Chief Justice on 1 May 1329, a post he held only until 28 October that year. He died from wounds suffered in a duel with Robert de Montalt at Earls Bridge near Mablethorpe, the culmination of a long running feud between the two families over ecclesiastical patronage rights.
