Kristen Johanssen came before him (1924 to 1939) and Henning Bødtker came after (1945 to 1962).

The Office of the Attorney General in Oslo lists Kristen Johanssen as attorney general from 1924 to 1939, then Valentin Voss from 1939 to 1941, then Henning Bødtker from 1945 to 1962. Voss therefore followed Johanssen directly, and the next listed holder after him, Bødtker, took office in 1945.
