Peter Jamadar

Peter Jamadar is a Trinidad and Tobago jurist who rose through the national judiciary, serving as a High Court judge and then, from 2008, as a Justice of Appeal on the Court of Appeal of Trinidad and Tobago. In 2019 he was appointed a judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice, the regional court of final appeal for CARICOM member states. As a High Court judge he ruled in 2006 that Trinidad and Tobago's Trinity Cross, the nation's highest civilian award, was a Christian symbol that discriminated against the country's multi-religious society, though he found the award itself constitutionally protected and left any reform to Parliament.
