O-Gon Kwon

O-Gon Kwon is a South Korean jurist, born September 2, 1953, in Cheongju. He served as a judge of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia from 2001 to 2016, sitting as one of three judges in the trial of Slobodan Milosevic and presiding over the case against Radovan Karadzic, which ended in a 40-year sentence in 2016; he was Vice-President of the tribunal from 2008 to 2011. He later served as President of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court from 2017 to 2020, the sixth person to hold that post and the second from the Asia-Pacific region, and by December 2025 he had joined the Board of Directors of the ICC's Trust Fund for Victims.
