Arnfinn Bardsen is a Norwegian judge born on 11 July 1966 in Stavanger. He earned a law degree from the University of Bergen in 1992 and a doctorate in law in 1999, taught as an associate professor at Bergen from 1992 to 2003, and served as an acting deputy judge in Jaeren District Court from 1994 to 1995 before becoming a presiding judge at Gulating Court of Appeal from 2003 to 2008. He was appointed a justice of the Norwegian Supreme Court in 2008, then took leave from that post in 2018 to become Norway's judge at the European Court of Human Rights, where he continues to serve and now holds the office of Vice-President of the Court.
