Geza Gabor Herczegh, who lived from October 17, 1928, to January 11, 2010, was a Hungarian judge and academic who was appointed to Hungary's Constitutional Court in 1990. He was elected a judge of the International Court of Justice in 1993, initially filling the remaining year of the term of Manfred Lachs, whom he succeeded, and was re-elected to a full nine-year term in 1994, serving until 2003. A colleague described him as a dedicated and open-minded judge interested in finding areas of consensus, and his daughter married Janos Ader, later President of Hungary.
