Vahe Grigoryan

Vahe Grigoryan is an Armenian jurist born on 20 April 1975 in Yerevan. He earned a law diploma from Yerevan State University in 1997 and an LLM in human rights law from the University of Nottingham in 2010, then worked as a lawyer for the Central Bank of Armenia, as an investigator and assistant to the prosecutor in the Office of the Military Prosecutor from 1997 to 1998, and as an advocate in private practice specializing in constitutional and international human rights law from 2001 to 2013 and again from 2018 to 2019, with a period as a legal consultant at the European Human Rights Advocacy Centre in London from 2013 to 2018 and as an international legal expert and trainer for the OSCE, the European Union and the Council of Europe from 2011 to 2018. He served as a justice of the Constitutional Court of Armenia from 2019 to 2025, including as its vice-president from 2022 to 2025, before his election as Armenias judge at the European Court of Human Rights for a nine-year term beginning 28 April 2025.
