Bedouin systems of justice

Customary Law Systems

Systems of justice among the Bedouin Arabs vary among the tribes. A number of these systems date from pre-Islamic times and do not follow sharia, or Islamic religious law, though many are falling into disuse as more Bedouin communities turn to sharia or national penal codes for dispensing justice.
